There used to be only one answer to stress in uncertain times, and that was a bar of gloriously unfancy Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, but its latest incarnation as a ‘diet bar’ containing 30% less sugar, means not only a horrible choice (Do I go healthy, or do I go original…?), but that other bars have seized the opportunity to compete as de-stressor in-chief. One of them is Nestle’s Les Recettes de L’Atelier (Recipes of the Artisan’s shop as they helpfully translate) made from 100% sustainable cocoa and free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. An additional inducement to try these bars when the political psychodrama gets too much, is their hefty size and the fact that they come in three flavours: a caramelly blonde with almonds and hazelnuts, dark with salted caramel, and the especially good, dark with almonds and cranberries
Les Recettes de L’Atelier chocolate from £2/115g – £3/195g available at Sainsbury’s
